Wadsworth YMCA Community Center

Nice place and we love the pool for the kids. The only complaint that I have is the lack of supervision in the gym and on the walking track after school. I see a few cameras in the area but no one from the facility ever came in to monitor the area. Some kids walk backwards on the track and there is a great deal of rough housing in the basketball courts by the kids.

I love going to the outdoor and indoor pool. But today when I was at the outdoor pool I ask the lifeguard if I could do a front flip. The life guard didn’t think I could actually do one so he gave me permission and said “sure but only one time”. So I did the front flip and he was impressed. So one the second flip one of the manager yelled at me and started threating to kick me out. So me removing myself from the situation I went to the inside pool. Well when I went inside the same lady who yelled at me decided to also follow me inside. Then me and my sister are inside and I decided to swim the deepened and I got yelled at for being in the deep end. Don’t know why but I did get yelled at. So anyway I like going to the indoor and outdoor pool but the life guards need to be nicer because they are just outrageously DISRESPECTFUL.

Has everything you could want. Indoor track, huge aerobics room, locker rooms with showers, a well-equipped strength training room, indoor and outdoor pools, four basketball courts, and lots and lots of programs year-round. And childcare! It's definitely busy during and after rush hour when everyone comes after work at once, but if you have the flexibility to come on the right days and at the right hours, you can have it almost all to yourself. And the high volume of customers is a testament to what a good gym it is! I've never encountered any staff who were anything but friendly. As long as you're following the rules on the signs and practicing basic gym etiquette, I can't imagine having a problem. They've been very helpful with every inquiry I've had. I've shopped around for a good gym for a few months, and I've never seen such a complete one with everything I wanted -- and for a cheaper membership price than some of the others I checked out in Wadsworth! I'll be a loyal member for life, Lord willing.

I love the Y in Wadsworth! It is always exceptionally clean and the staff is so nice. My kids have participated is multiple classes and activities through this location and they have all been great. We have used both of the indoor pools, the outdoor pool, the basketball courts and weight room. We enjoy all aspects of the Wadsworth Y!
